The last of 4 very hard matches on tour and this was the first time we batted first. Clive and Martin opened the batting and soon put on 27 before Clive(18) was adjudged to be out LBW a decision for some that ruined an otherwise well fought game. Wickets tumbled regularly after that and we amassed 145-9 after our allotted 35 overs with only Frankie, Dave and Timmy reaching double figures. After a superb tea Midhurst took to the task of chasing down our score, and with weary bodies Pilgrims tried in vane to conjure up any magic as Midhurst passed our score with the loss of just three wickets, two to debutante Kyle Onions. |
